My name is Aliya. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Through my 10+ years as a professional counselor I’ve worked with victims of trauma, persons with addictions, and individuals who have struggled with life-long anxiety and depression. My experience has taught me that every problem has a solution. I work with my clients to empower and enlighten. Whether through individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, or group therapy we tackle each challenge with a sense of purpose and hope that tomorrow is destined to be better than today.
I use a CBT based approach mixed with strengths based, solution focused, and motivational interviewing techniques to help client reach their goals. I’ve found that the biggest challenge for clients is realizing that they can go through and overcome the challenges of life with peace and joy!
Lastly, I believe that exercise can be a key factor in emotional health as well as physical well-being. I encourage clients’ to explore ways to be better to their bodies as this can also be a gateway to having a better life.
