Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am Coral Haynes, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed in Kentucky, with 29 years of professional experience in the mental health and wellness field. This means over the years, I have gained a wide variety of experience – but I do not claim to be an expert in everything!
I have a special interest in empowering women. (Just to clarify – this is not an anti-male approach!) It has been my experience that women are often so focused on relationships, that they neglect their own desires and needs. So my focus is helping women figure out who they are, what they want, and how they can continue to nurture their relationships, while also building a life that is genuine and personally satisfying.
I also have significant experience working with men, who often seek help to improve relationship skills, deal with career issues or changes, or to learn to better deal with – and communicate about – their emotions.
(All kinds of) Relationships are complicated – and messy! This is another area that I have experience in – with a focus on communication skills, seeing things from each other’s perspectives, and finding ways to love each other better.
In addition, I really enjoy helping people with:
Personal growth and wellness
Executive and Professional coaching
Motivation
Self esteem /Confidence
Coping with life changes
Boundaries
Divorce Recovery
Parenting Strategies
Stress and Anxiety
Depression
I also have experience with a variety of other clinical diagnoses and populations that I don’t currently serve, but which helps round out my overall understanding of people and of the field of mental health.
My counseling techniques are tailored to each individual client and their particular issue(s), as well as their personality and communication style.
My goal is to meet each client where they are and help them gain the life tools they need to move forward in a positive and lasting way.
Some therapeutic models I often utilize are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, Reality Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. For more information on these models, please just ask. I am happy to provide additional information.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey. I look forward to partnering with you!
*Please note that I currently only have weekday, daytime availability. If you need evening or weekend time slots, you may want to try a different therapist that can better accommodate you.
**Also, please note that since I also have in-person appointments for my private practice that can not be blocked out on my BetterHelp Calendar, I am unable to show many open time slots without fear of double booking. Therefore, the BetterHelp calendar is NOT an accurate portrayal of my availability.
Please reach out to me to schedule appointments, so that I can better prevent double booking.
Thanks and I look forward to working with you!

Coral Haynes is a Kentucky-licensed professional clinical counselor with 29 years of experience in the mental health and wellness field. She holds a Kentucky LPCC license (KY LPCC 103134) and brings nearly three decades of practice to her work while acknowledging she is not an expert in every area.
She has a special interest in empowering women and approaches that work from a strengths-based perspective. Coral notes that many women spend so much energy on relationships that their own needs and desires can be overlooked. Her work supports women in clarifying who they are, identifying what they want, and building lives that feel authentic while still nurturing important relationships.
Coral also has substantial experience working with men, who commonly seek help to strengthen relationship skills, manage career transitions, or learn healthier ways to express and discuss emotions.
Relationships are often complicated and messy, and Coral focuses on improving communication, encouraging perspective-taking, and finding practical ways for people to relate to one another more effectively.
Her clinical specialties include relationship issues, self-esteem, coping with life changes, coaching, ADHD, stress, anxiety, family conflicts, grief, parenting issues, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, depression, and compassion fatigue. She also draws on experience with other clinical diagnoses and populations that inform her broader understanding of clients and the field of mental health.
Coral tailors her counseling approach to each person’s specific concerns, personality, and communication style. She frequently integrates therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt therapy, Reality therapy, Humanistic approaches, and Psychodynamic therapy, and she is available to explain these methods in more detail upon request.
Her goal is to meet clients where they are and collaborate on practical skills and strategies that promote positive, lasting change. Coral strives to create an open, nonjudgmental space where thoughts and feelings can be expressed safely, and she frames seeking help as a courageous first step toward a more fulfilling life. She looks forward to partnering with clients in that work.
Please note that Coral currently has weekday, daytime availability only. If evening or weekend appointments are required, another therapist who offers those times may be a better fit. Because she also maintains in-person appointments in a private practice that cannot be blocked on her BetterHelp calendar, the online calendar may not accurately reflect her true availability and could risk double booking. Prospective clients are encouraged to reach out directly to schedule appointments so availability can be coordinated.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
An important benefit of virtual care is flexibility. Individuals can connect in the way that suits them best – video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to weave therapy into a busy life.
All therapists who provide online services are licensed professionals, and if a particular match does not feel right, it is possible to switch to another therapist at any time. Online therapy can be a practical, accessible option for many people seeking support.
