I have been an adoptive and foster parent. I taught 6th grade for 14 years and am a certified Special Education teacher in the state of Missouri. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Kari Petersen is a licensed clinical social worker in Missouri with four years of professional experience. She works with people facing stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, depression, and other related concerns.
Before entering clinical practice, Kari spent 14 years teaching sixth grade and is a certified special education teacher in Missouri. She has personal experience as an adoptive and foster parent and incorporates that perspective into her therapeutic work when appropriate.
