About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State. I have more than 23 years of experience working in mental health. Most of my experience has been working with children/youth; however, in the last 9 years I have been working with adults and in the last year I have been working with couples. I received my master degree in Social Work from New York University (NYU), and a bachelor in Psychology from College of Mount Saint Viencent. I started to work in the mental health fields before I obtain both of these degrees. I started to work in this field in 1995, as a member of the Children Mobile Mental Health Crisis Team. I have been working in these field and community based programs in New York since then and for more than half of my life. I particularly work with family with children/young adult that are consider to be severe emotionally disturbed and are at risk of out of home placements due to their mental health illness, trauma, childhood diagnosis such as ADHD and others, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem issues, and others such as Anger and Emotional Control. My treatment approach has been to meet the client where they are at, build on their strengths, explore, identify and resolved their barriers while building a therapeutic relationship and using an eclectic theoretical approach based on the their needs and styles. In my 20 + years of experience, I have and continues to participate in a series of therapeutic training techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focus – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT, Solution Focused, others modalities to treat trauma other than TF-CBT, Grief therapy, etc. In my professional life, my greater accomplishment has been to see my clients of all ages to buiild on their strengthen, eliminate barriers or identify them so that at the first sign of it they can eliminate it. Them taking control of their emotions and liberated themself from a debilitated illness and or situation that has taken over their life and make their own life choices.

Is Online Therapy the Right Choice for Your Mental Health Journey?

For many common concerns—including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions—online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person sessions. Research and clinical experience support its usefulness for these types of issues, and many people find comparable benefits when working remotely with a qualified professional.

One major advantage of online therapy is flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that best fits their life and comfort level, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to maintain consistency in care even when schedules are busy or travel is difficult.

Licensed professionals and therapists deliver online services, and if a client feels a different match would be better, it is usually possible to switch therapists. For many individuals, online therapy offers a practical, accessible way to address emotional and interpersonal concerns without sacrificing the quality of care.
