Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
As far as I can remember, I have always been a counselor. As a kid, adults would seat next to me on the bus and tell me the problems of their day. I soon learned the value of listening and discovered this was the profession for me. I then went to college and got a BS Degree and later an MSW in Social Work. I became licensed in VA, Maryland and DC. With over thirty years doing crisis intervention, individual therapy, group therapy, and case management; I would like to help you through modern technology, to conquer your fears, discover why things are not working right and why you keep doing the same wrong things repeatedly.

Willie Simmons has a lifelong inclination toward listening and helping others, a gift first noticed in childhood when adults would confide their daily problems to him on the bus. He came to appreciate the value of attentive listening and chose counseling as his vocation.
He completed a Bachelor of Science degree and later earned a Master of Social Work, building a foundation for decades of practice. He became licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. In Maryland he holds LCSW-C licensure (license number 20930), reflecting advanced training in clinical social work.
Across more than thirty years, he has worked in crisis intervention, individual therapy, group therapy, and case management. Using modern technology, Willie Simmons offers remote support to help people face fears, understand patterns that keep them stuck, and develop more effective ways of coping and relating.
Many people ask whether remote therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, online therapy has been found to work as effectively as traditional in-person sessions for most people.
One major benefit is flexibility – clients can meet with a therapist in the format that best fits their needs, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. That flexibility makes it easier to keep appointments and integrate therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering remote care are licensed professionals, and individuals may change therapists if they prefer a different fit. Online sessions can provide accessible, practical support for a wide range of everyday mental health concerns.
