Michelle Skoien

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

Resiliency means “bouncing back” from difficult experiences. I believe everyone is resilient. My passion is to help others learn to deal with difficult experiences and ‘bounce back’. My goal is to help you to have balance in your life (physically/intellectually/emotionally/spiritually) through skills, which you will learn about during our sessions, in a comfortable welcoming environment. Dealing with difficult experiences are what led me in the direction of becoming a helper for others. I am grateful to have learned about, and been able to help, individuals for the past twenty five years who have battled many types of experiences.

I can help you learn skills to help with feelings associated with grief and loss, whether due to a trauma or the loss of a loved one. I also teach skills to help children learn to cope in the classroom environment. As you learn and practice these skills, you can expect to gain a sense of calmness and confidence.

My belief is that “…suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5: 3-4. My goal is to try instill the belief in you, that there is always hope.

About

Michelle Skoien views resiliency as the ability to bounce back from difficult experiences and holds the conviction that everyone has that capacity. With 25 years of clinical experience in Florida, she helps people develop practical skills to recover from hardship and regain balance across physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual areas of life.

Michelle creates a comfortable, welcoming environment where clients learn and practice techniques tailored to their needs. Her work includes supporting people through grief and loss whether stemming from trauma or the death of a loved one, and teaching children strategies to cope within the classroom setting.

As clients apply these skills over time, Michelle aims for them to experience greater calmness and confidence. She is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and has spent a quarter century assisting individuals facing a wide range of life challenges.

Her approach is informed by a hopeful perspective – she echoes the belief that “suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” Romans 5: 3-4 – and seeks to help others discover and strengthen that hope in their own lives.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

A major benefit is flexibility – individuals can connect in the format that best fits their schedule and comfort level, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to maintain consistency in care.

All therapists are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch to a different therapist if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy can be a practical, effective way to access support for many common mental health and life concerns.
