Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a licensed professional counselor with an additional certification as a certified complex trauma professional. I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with my M.S. in clinical and counseling psychology in 2016. I have been practicing for 6 years and have significant experience working with addiction issues, traumatic experiences including PTSD, codependency, depression and anxiety, along with other mental health concerns. I believe in a person centered, trauma-informed approach. I recognize all aspects of the individual and work to bring about awareness as to how our past experiences impact the manner in which we interact with others in adulthood. I believe in recognizing the needs of the individual, working together with the client to identify treatment goals and developing a treatment plan that is tailored to those unique and specific needs, while being flexible to allow for any changes needed over the course of treatment.
I believe in the ability for us as individuals to make behavioral changes and will work alongside you to help you grow and reach your identified goals. I would describe myself as open-minded, non-judgmental, compassionate and empathetic. I value the building of the therapeutic relationship, recognizing the importance of honesty and respect through the process. I hope to work with you in your own healing journey.
Please be kind to yourself,
Alisha Barnes

For many common concerns – including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions – online therapy can be an effective option and has been shown to offer outcomes comparable to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility: people can choose the format that fits their needs and comfort level, whether that is a video session, a phone call, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability often makes it simpler to incorporate therapy into a busy life.
Therapy delivered online is provided by licensed professionals, and clients may request a different therapist at any time if they prefer a new fit. The combination of demonstrated effectiveness and practical convenience makes online therapy a viable path for many seeking support.
