Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Hawaii with a fairly young practice. I attended school late in life, and understand life’s developmental issues. I am a conservative Christian, and look forward to helping anyone who is seeking help. I am not judgmental, and can work with any population. Most of my work over the past 8 years has been with people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI). I believe this has given me a strong base to work with clients from all walks of life, facing all kinds of issues. I use a variety of techniques, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, relaxation and breathing techniques, among others. I believe that people know themselves better than anyone, and often know what they need to do, and just need some support and encouragement to move forward in life. I recently located from Hawaii to Missouri, so my availability on my calendar accounts for the 5-hour time difference from Missouri to Hawaii. I look forward to working with anyone who wants to take steps to better their lives!

Skyla Hammond is a licensed mental health counselor practicing in Hawaii with five years of clinical experience. She attended school later in life and uses that perspective to relate to common developmental and life-stage challenges clients face.
As a conservative Christian, Skyla welcomes anyone seeking help and approaches each person without judgment. She works with a wide range of concerns, including trauma and abuse, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, intimacy-related issues, sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, depression, coping with life changes, coaching, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
Much of her clinical experience has involved supporting people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), which she sees as a strong foundation for working with clients from diverse backgrounds and presenting issues. Her approach draws on a variety of evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and relaxation and breathing strategies, among others.
Skyla believes people often understand themselves best and that with encouragement and practical support they can move forward in life. She is licensed to practice in Hawaii, which indicates she has met the state’s requirements to provide mental health services (license MHC-554). She looks forward to working with anyone ready to take steps toward improving their life.
For many common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy can be an effective option and has been shown to be comparable to traditional in-person sessions for these kinds of issues. It can offer a practical way to access support without changing day-to-day routines.
One major benefit is the flexibility to connect in the format that suits a person best: video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. That range of options can make it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to choose a mode of communication that feels most comfortable.
Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and you have the option to request a different therapist if you feel a different fit would be better. For many people seeking help with everyday mental health concerns, online therapy is a convenient, accessible path to consistent professional support.
