Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Welcome! My name is Melissa Nash and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Maryland. I have been working as a therapist now for 12 years. I believe each person is made up of many parts. When one of these parts is stressed, scared, hurt, or has experienced some type of trauma, the entire person is impacted.
I approach therapy by looking at you, the client, as the expert. You know you and your life story. My job is to be the outsider looking in. To help identify the problem areas and work with you to discover how to get your entire system working in a peaceful way again.
I have been blessed to work with clients from all walks of life. The problem areas that I have helped others work through include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, work/life balance, and the journey of searching for your purpose in life.
A fun anecdote about myself is: that I always wanted to become a nurse. I really wanted to help people. Once I got into college, I quickly realized that nursing was not for me. I am happy to say I found a career that I love AND I can help people.

Melissa Nash is a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland with twelve years of experience providing therapy. She approaches each person as a collection of interrelated parts – when one part is stressed, scared, hurt, or affected by trauma, the whole person feels the impact. Melissa views the client as the expert on their own life and serves as an informed outside perspective to help identify problem areas and restore balance across the system.
Her clinical practice has addressed issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, work-life balance, and the search for personal purpose. Melissa aims for a collaborative, compassionate approach that helps clients reconnect the pieces of their lives and move toward greater calm and functioning.
Before choosing social work as a career she once hoped to become a nurse because she wanted to help people. Finding social work allowed her to pursue that desire in a profession she loves while supporting others through meaningful change.
