Hi, my name is Heather. I have three children, a step-daughter, a grandson, and three fur babies that rule my home. I enjoy spending time with my family, learning and experiencing new things. I have a BA in psychology from UNCG , a Masters degree in clinical counseling from Liberty University, and I am licensed in the state of North Carolina as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. My approach to therapy is eclectic as I like to take from theologies. I am proficient in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy and various others so that I can develop a strategy that will work to help individualize each clients experience.
I have worked with clients in various settings from hospitals, telephone, outpatient clinics, and virtual. I would love to work with clients that are ready make a change in their life so they can see the light in your life again.

She brings seven years of clinical experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Liberty University. She is licensed to practice in North Carolina as a clinical mental health counselor and also holds licensure as a clinical addiction specialist associate.
Heather balances a warm, approachable style with an eclectic therapeutic approach, drawing on several evidence-based methods to tailor care. She regularly uses motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral techniques, dialectical behavior therapy skills, and other strategies to create an individualized plan that fits each person she works with.
Her practice focuses on a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, addictions, self-esteem and depression, relationship and family conflicts, parenting challenges, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, and coping with life changes. Heather has worked in multiple settings – hospitals, telephone counseling, outpatient clinics, and virtual services – and she welcomes clients who are ready to make a change and begin seeing the light in their lives again.
Outside of her work she is a mother of three, a stepdaughter and a grandson, and shares her home with three pets. She enjoys spending time with family and pursuing new learning and experiences.
