Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello,
My name is Melissa Elliott, but I like to go by Leesa. I have been a licensed mental health counselor in Florida for over 30 years. I admire you for your courage to seek counseling by recognizing areas in your life that need peace, happiness and balance.
I believe that in working with the right counselor, an individual can shorten the journey to achieving their personal goals. I enjoy being a part of the journey. I encourage my clients to add practical tools to their existing tool kit. This will enable them to apply these tools in both current and future situations.
One of the approaches I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which explores the relationship between our thoughts and feelings and how they impact our behaviors and choices. There is not just one approach that fits all, so I like to tailor the sessions based on the individual and what works for them.
My life and work experience give me insights into the following areas: relationships, parenting, aging parents, work issues, infertility and adoption.
If you choose to work with me, I look forward to being part of your journey.

She recognizes the courage it takes to seek support and meets each person with a calm, respectful approach aimed at restoring balance, peace, and a greater sense of well-being.

She enjoys accompanying clients through that process and emphasizes practical, usable tools that fit into each person’s life – strategies they can rely on in current circumstances and in the future. One of the methods she uses is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which explores how thoughts and feelings influence behaviors and choices, and she adapts her approach to match what works best for each individual.
Her clinical and life experience inform her work with a range of concerns, including relationships and family conflicts, parenting and issues with aging parents, workplace challenges, infertility and adoption matters, and responses to trauma and loss. Leesa also supports people managing stress, anxiety, self-esteem struggles, depression, coping with life changes, anger, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and compassion fatigue, as well as offering coaching when appropriate.
She holds a Florida license as a mental health counselor (license number MH 2032) and values a collaborative, tailored process. If someone chooses to work with her, Leesa looks forward to being part of their journey toward greater balance and well-being.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or transitions in life, online therapy is frequently used as a helpful option and can be a good fit for many individuals.
One key advantage is flexibility – people can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to fit sessions into a busy schedule and to access care from different locations.
Therapists who offer remote services are licensed professionals, and individuals may choose to switch therapists if they want a different fit. Online therapy offers practical access to support and tools that can be applied to present challenges and future situations.
