Deanna Rasnic

Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships

About

I have been a counselor for 20+ years. Counseling is a calling for me – a passion. I feel honored to come alongside those who are hurting, or who find themselves in a challenging place in their lives, and help them navigate through the difficulties that they face. I like to help my clients gain insight about themselves and others, assist them through the healing process, and then help them get back on track with their lives. I deal with the past issues as they affect the present, and I apply cognitive behavioral techniques to assist clients in facing and dealing with past hurts so they can heal and keep their past from hindering their progress in the present and future.

As a therapist, I would describe myself as empathetic, non-judgmental, direct, honest, and practical. I offer my clients my genuine concern and empathy, combined with my direct thoughts, insights, and recommendations. I can offer you a safe place to sort through what is on your mind and heart. Many people carry a heavy load emotionally and fear letting their guard down with others. One of the benefits of therapy is that I am not in your every day life. I am not your friend or family member…I am your counselor. I am not here to judge you. I can help you cut through the noise and get to the root of what is truly troubling you and I can walk you through the steps necessary to bring about the change you desire to see in your life.

About

Deanna Rasnic brings 28 years of counseling experience to her practice in Texas. Counseling is a calling for her – she finds it meaningful to come alongside people who are hurting or who are facing difficult seasons, guiding them through challenges and helping them regain direction in life.

She assists clients in gaining insight about themselves and others, supports them through the healing process, and uses cognitive behavioral techniques to address how past hurts affect present functioning so those memories do not hinder future progress.

Deanna approaches her work with empathy, a non-judgmental stance, and practical directness. She pairs genuine concern with clear observations and actionable recommendations, offering a safe space to sort through what is on the mind and heart. As a counselor rather than a friend or family member, she provides perspective that helps identify root concerns and the steps needed for meaningful change.

Her professional background includes more than a decade in private practice, where she provided individual, marital, adolescent, and family counseling, and extensive service in agency settings. She has worked with clients and families on issues such as marriage and divorce, blended family dynamics, coparenting after separation, parenting across life stages, boundary setting, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, spiritual concerns, decision making, addictions, and recovery from past hurts. She also has an in-depth history with the adoption process, offering pre- and post-placement counseling for birth parents, adoptive couples, and adopted children.

Deanna is a Texas-licensed professional counselor and holds credentials to supervise other counselors as well as a license to place children for adoption. Her academic training includes a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling, a Master of Arts in Religious Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Is Online Therapy the Right Fit for Your Needs?

Many people wonder if virtual counseling can truly make a difference. For most common concerns – such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes – online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.

A key benefit is flexibility. Individuals can connect with a therapist in the way that feels most comfortable – via video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging – which makes it easier to include therapy in a busy routine.

Therapists who deliver remote services are licensed professionals, and clients may switch providers anytime if they want a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible and consistent way to pursue support for common mental health and relationship concerns.
