Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
Hello and welcome to my page!
All of us as therapists have lots of letters after our name, mine are LPC, NCC. You may wonder what it all means. Mine means that I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is also nationally certified. Meaning I can move more easily from my home state of Michigan if I choose to having met the requirements for almost every state in the US rather than just Michigan’s requirements. I have been doing one on one counseling as well as family counseling for approximately 6 years now. I began my career working at a partial hospitalization program running group meetings for clients who were in crisis. I love it all, I love helping people figure out their issues or just how to help you best to improve your lives overall.
I was a double major at Michigan State University in Psychology and Criminal Justice. I have a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and have completed almost all of the course work towards my PhD. I attend many seminars throughout the year in order to learn new methods, keep up to date on current research and medications as well as to meet new people and get fresh perspectives.
I don’t have one particular treatment approach that I exclusively use. I have found that each person is different and I need to be able to change and adapt to them. I do have favorites however and those are Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I like CBT because it helps identify negative or faulty thinking and helps you see things more clearly in order to respond to them in a healthier way. I like SFBT because it focuses on solutions. You tell me what goal you want to reach and we work together to get you there.
If you’re ready to start, then I am too!

Crystal Pasciak is a Michigan-based mental health professional who practices as a Licensed Professional Counselor and also holds national certification, a combination that reflects meeting rigorous state and national standards and can make it easier to transfer credentials across states. She brings seven years of clinical experience working with individuals and families, and she began her career leading group programs at a partial hospitalization program for clients in crisis.
She earned a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Michigan State University, completed a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Walden University, and has finished almost all of the coursework toward a PhD. Crystal regularly attends seminars throughout the year to learn new methods, stay current on research and medications, and gain fresh professional perspectives.
Crystal does not rely on a single treatment model; she adapts her approach to fit each person’s needs. Her preferred methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – which helps identify and reframe negative or unhelpful thinking so people can respond more effectively – and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy – which centers on defining specific goals and working collaboratively to reach them. She provides both one-on-one counseling and family therapy, and she enjoys helping people clarify issues and find practical ways to improve their lives.
Her areas of specialty include stress and anxiety, relationship and intimacy-related concerns, self-esteem, depression, addictions, family conflict, trauma and abuse, grief, eating and sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, career difficulties, and mood conditions such as bipolar disorder. She practices in Michigan and is prepared to begin work with someone when that person is ready to start.
