Holistic Jungian therapist specializing in trauma and relationships
My name is Jeanette “Jan” Kaschmitter and I have been a licensed mental health therapist in Washington State since 2001. I have 13 years experience working in fully integrated mental health and substance abuse programs. I am not credentialed in substance use. During the course of my career I have worked in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric, and a tribal clinic. I have provided individual, couples, and group counseling to primarily an adult population. The methods I use come from several different therapeutic models. Some of the specific techniques used are derived from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I consider myself eclectic in nature and strive to meet the individual needs of people served. I have specialized training in grief and loss, trauma/sexual abuse, and co-occurring disorders. It is my belief that we are all capable of healing and reaching a healthy balance in our lives. There is no greater privilege than to take this healing journey with someone and to see how much they can truly achieve. I am very blessed.

Many people question whether remote therapy can make a real difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the primary advantages is flexibility – clients can connect in the mode that feels most comfortable, choosing from video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Online services are provided by licensed professionals, and if a client decides a different therapeutic match would work better they can switch therapists at any time.
