Tia Savage is a mother, wife, friend, adventurer, optimist and free spirit whose personal perspective supports a calm, open-minded approach to therapy. She emphasizes problem solving and practical skill building to help people discover positive, healthy ways to live and to reach their goals.
She is often described as relatable, kind, considerate, genuine, supportive and empowering, and she aims to help clients identify strengths and make sense of what is happening in their lives. She believes everyone deserves someone in their life with whom they can be open and honest without judgment.
She earned a Master of Social Work from Simmons College in 2006, became a licensed clinical social worker in 2008, and completed a life coaching certificate at the University of New Hampshire in 2016. With 15 years of experience and a practice based in New Hampshire, she is particularly passionate about supporting teens and young adults as well as the parents who care for them.
Her work has included supporting adolescents and young adults through the transition out of high school, assisting with the college search and application process, developing vocational and job skills, and building social skills for meaningful relationships. She also helps clients develop coping and self-care strategies for anxiety, establish health and fitness routines, and find ways to support growth and encourage potential.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes - online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Licensed professionals provide care online, and if someone is not the right fit it is possible to switch to a different therapist at any time. For many people, virtual therapy offers a practical, effective option for addressing everyday concerns and supporting long-term change.
