Tami Labul is a licensed clinical social worker based in Maine and also licensed to practice in Idaho, bringing more than 20 years of experience to her clinical work. Her pronouns are she/her. She specializes in addressing stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, self-esteem concerns, depression, coping with life changes, relationship and family issues, grief, and compassion fatigue.
Tami has provided therapy to men, women, and teens and is experienced working with people from diverse faiths and cultural backgrounds. She is an LGBTQ-affirming clinician. As a Certified Trauma Professional, she has developed substantial experience helping individuals recover from physical and emotional trauma and abuse, and she has a particular interest in supporting those struggling with anxiety and self-esteem.
Her counseling style is warm and supportive, grounded in a strengths-based approach that emphasizes respect, nonjudgment, and meeting each person where they are. She integrates a range of therapeutic methods and tailors strategies to fit each individual’s needs and comfort level. Tami aims to be an empathetic listener who collaborates with clients to address the concerns they bring, uncover healthy coping skills—both old and new—and add practical tools to their personal toolbox.
Tami offers phone and video sessions by appointment and makes a point of responding to messages regularly. She typically logs in to read and reply twice daily, five days a week, with usual days off on Saturdays and Sundays as well as major holidays. She believes strongly in the value of the therapeutic relationship and stands ready to support and empower those who are ready to begin the work toward a more fulfilling and happier life. She looks forward to working with you.
