Stacey Polson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey with 28 years of counseling experience. She has spent much of her career serving as a middle school counselor and also brings extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups outside the school setting.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Wyoming. As a state-licensed clinician (NJ LPC 37PC00920800), she combines professional training with decades of hands-on practice to support people through a wide range of concerns.
Stacey works with issues such as stress, anxiety, relationship and intimacy challenges, family conflict, parenting concerns, depression, grief, self-esteem, career difficulties, and coping with life changes. Her counseling style is personable and approachable. She adopts a person-centered stance that positions the client as the leader while she provides support, goal setting, and practical steps to address problems.
In many cases she also integrates a rational-emotive approach to help clients recognize links between thoughts, patterns, and behaviors so they can reframe beliefs that limit their potential. Stacey is passionate about helping people navigate difficult periods and focuses on meeting each person’s unique needs. She aims to make the first step toward change feel manageable and will work collaboratively with clients to reach their goals.
