Shlomo Lawrence is a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in Florida and Texas. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida in 2007 and brings 12 years of clinical experience in the mental health field.
Over his career he has worked across a variety of settings, including community-based programs, addiction treatment with co-occurring disorders, and trauma-focused services. He has substantial training in EMDR and reports strong outcomes using that modality. His clinical work spans substance abuse, trauma, relationship and family conflicts, couples and marriage issues, depression, anxiety, obsessive behaviors, spectrum disorders, and challenges related to grief, eating and sleeping, intimacy, parenting, and career stress.
Born to first-generation survivors of Nazi Germany, he has particular familiarity with the intergenerational effects of trauma and has supported second- and third-generation survivors. He approaches therapy with compassion, active listening, and a focus on the broader spiritual and community aspects of healing, often contributing time and support through volunteering.
Shlomo uses an integrative range of therapeutic approaches tailored to the needs of each person or family. His typical methods include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, narrative and structural therapies, integrative couples therapy, and EMDR. He is licensed to practice as a marriage and family therapist in both Texas and Florida.
For many common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical practice show that these issues often respond well to remote treatment when delivered by trained professionals.
A major benefit of online therapy is its flexibility. Individuals can connect with therapists in the format that fits their schedule and comfort level - video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to keep regular appointments and continue progress.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. For many people, online therapy removes logistical barriers and creates a consistent way to access ongoing mental health support.
