Dr. Shano Palovich Rodgers approaches therapy with an emphasis on the relationship she builds with each person she sees, believing that willingness to be vulnerable is a meaningful and carefully held gift. She creates a non-judgmental space where people can feel safe to explore that vulnerability and work toward insight at a pace that feels right for them.
With 17 years of clinical experience, Dr. Rodgers draws on a background that includes extensive work in child welfare, including foster and adoptive care, as well as time in private practice supporting people with depression, anxiety, childhood and secondary trauma, parenting challenges, and workplace stress. She collaborates with clients using their self-identified strengths, needs, and goals to shape a compassionate, motivating path forward.
Dr. Rodgers holds a master of arts degree in Clinical Psychology and a doctorate in Organizational Psychology. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and brings a range of therapeutic methods to her work, including cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative and solution-focused approaches, psychodynamic therapy, client-centered methods, and motivational interviewing. She is also a certified trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach for parenting intense children and youth and is a certified life coach.
She looks forward to partnering with individuals and families to address concerns such as trauma and abuse, grief, parenting issues, compassion fatigue, stress and anxiety, relationship and family conflicts, anger management, self-esteem, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, depression, coping with life changes, and ADHD.
