Ruth Darby is a person-centred therapist based in the United Kingdom and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She offers a compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore difficult feelings and work toward greater resilience and self-compassion.
With three years of clinical experience, Ruth works collaboratively with each person, allowing them to share at their own pace and to build the inner resources needed for change. As a mature therapist, she draws on her own lived experience of navigating personal challenges to inform a warm and empathetic approach.
Ruth has experience supporting people with anxiety and depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties and estrangement, family conflict, stress and life transitions, trauma and abuse. She uses an integrative approach that blends Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Practice, Transactional Analysis and Mindfulness to support each individual’s healing process.
Believing that a genuine, supportive therapeutic relationship helps people feel heard and valued, Ruth offers a non-judgemental, empathetic ear and welcomes contact from those ready to take the first step toward change.
