Rick Clements is a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Utah with 25 years of experience helping people navigate difficult seasons of life. He believes that much of life’s well-being comes from our ability to form healthy connections with others while remaining authentic to ourselves.
Rick approaches therapy with the view that challenges are a normal part of life and that seeking help is a practical, shame-free step when situations feel overwhelming or beyond one’s current resources. He acknowledges that factors such as childhood experiences, trauma, complicated relationships, and personal choices can contribute to where someone is today, and he encourages recognizing and accepting the present situation as the starting point for change.
His work centers on getting to know each person deeply, helping identify the concerns that matter most, and exploring solutions that build coping skills and resilience. Rick offers practical tools and ongoing support as clients learn to use those tools, and he regularly checks progress to adjust direction as needed.
Over a 25-year career working with a wide variety of people, Rick treats every new client as a unique individual he has the privilege to meet and support through their journey toward a more positive, sustainable life.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adapting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to offer benefits comparable to traditional in-person sessions.
A major advantage is flexibility - clients can meet with a therapist in the format that suits them best, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Therapists who offer online care are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch providers if they want a different fit. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, effective way to get support and make meaningful progress.
