Renee Campbell

Renee Campbell, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual and family therapy. With decades of work across education and social work, she brings a practical, service-oriented perspective shaped by a career focused on supporting people and communities that have been marginalized. Her background includes creating and facilitating psycho-education group therapy, serving as a speaker and board development facilitator, and offering personal and employment coaching alongside clinical care.

Renee is also a Certified Dialectical Behavior Practitioner, a role that reflects specialized training in skills-based therapy approaches that help people strengthen emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication. In addition, she is an intimate partner violence subject matter expert, and her experience in this area informs a thoughtful, grounded approach for individuals and families navigating safety concerns, relationship patterns, and the impact of trauma. Her work also includes Reiki practice as part of her broader interest in whole-person support.

Her professional and community involvement includes membership in Phi Delta Kappa International Honor Society, Phi Alpha International Honor Society, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, along with recognition through multiple awards, including Women of Distinction from the Center for Women and Families, the Muhammad Ali Daughters of Greatness honor, a Lifetime Achievement award from the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, the Raymond A. Kent School of Social Work and Family Science Fellow designation, and the Louisville Defender Business and Professional Achievement Award. In 2005, she was appointed a sub-chief by the Tolon Traditional Council in Tolon, Ghana, West Africa, where she created and facilitated programs she describes as life changing.
