Rebecca Green began her helping career in 1991 and has accumulated thirty years of experience working with people from a variety of ages, cultures, and backgrounds.
Prior to completing her master’s degree she served as a case manager for foster children, worked as a counselor in a day program for adolescents with behavioral and developmental challenges, and held an intake and referral role supporting individuals with substance use disorders.
While working as an intake worker and case manager with people affected by substance use disorders, she chose to further her education to expand her counseling skills and better serve her community.
She earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Alvernia College in 1991 and completed a Master’s degree with a focus on Community Counseling in 2007. She has been licensed to practice as a professional counselor in Pennsylvania since 2010 (license PC005664).
Since completing her graduate training Rebecca has provided both group and individual therapy aimed at improving quality of life by helping clients manage mental health symptoms. She takes satisfaction in supporting people as they grow and find their own paths, assisting them to develop new coping methods for stressors related to current living situations, past histories that may include trauma, and ongoing mental health concerns.
Rebecca works with a broad range of issues including stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, self-esteem, depression, addictions, LGBT concerns, relationship issues, grief, intimacy-related matters, sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
She aims to help clients build practical coping tools and offers an empathetic listening presence so they can more effectively manage thoughts, emotions, and life situations. Rebecca looks forward to supporting individuals as they develop personal resilience on their journey through life.
Many people wonder whether online therapy truly helps. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most individuals.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the format that fits their needs, whether through video sessions, phone calls, live chat, or in-app messaging. That versatility makes it easier to incorporate therapy into a busy schedule.
Clients work with licensed professionals, and it is possible to change therapists if a different fit is desired. Overall, online therapy offers an accessible and adaptable way to address everyday mental health and relationship concerns while fitting into modern lifestyles.
