Rachel Babiskin is a Maryland-licensed clinical social worker with 25 years of experience helping people navigate a wide range of concerns. She takes a client-centered, motivational approach that emphasizes collaboration and meeting each person where they are in their life.
Using a strength-based, trauma-informed framework, Rachel supports clients in learning and mastering practical skills that promote positive change and improved well-being. She prioritizes building a trusting therapeutic relationship, ensuring each person feels heard and respected while offering guidance and gentle challenge when therapeutically appropriate.
Rachel has worked in schools, hospitals, and private practice and has experience supporting young adults with mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Her areas of expertise include stress and anxiety, family conflicts and parenting issues, depression, ADHD and attention/executive functioning concerns, addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, grief, eating disorders, anger management, self-esteem, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, and coaching.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland. Rachel is certified to provide clinical social work services as an LCSW-C in Maryland (license number 12569).
