Mycah Whiting is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Georgia with 13 years of experience supporting people through a wide range of life challenges. Her motivation to become a therapist grew from personal family experiences with mental health and a natural, empathic intuition for others.
She has worked with many common concerns, including depression, anxiety, anger management, substance use and addiction, trauma and abuse, relationship and family conflicts, grief, eating disorders, intimacy-related issues, self-esteem struggles, and ADHD. In addition, she has a focused interest in supporting women in recovery from addiction and trauma.
Mycah uses a person-centered approach, believing that each client’s needs and goals are unique and deserve individualized care. She draws from a range of therapeutic modalities and collaborates with clients to identify the methods that best support their goals. While working together, her aim is to cultivate a supportive, expansive space for exploration and processing.
Mycah believes that when therapy is combined with a willingness to engage in honest self-reflection and effort, it can lead to meaningful healing and growth. She looks forward to walking alongside clients as they identify practical remedies and gain insight into who they are and who they want to become.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the format that fits their life and comfort level, whether by video call, phone session, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to keep therapy consistent around work, family, and other commitments.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals and clients have the option to switch therapists if they need a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers a practical, accessible way to engage in therapeutic work while addressing everyday responsibilities.
