Monica Gutierrez is an Arizona-native who earned a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and brings seven years of clinical experience to her work.
She is a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania (PA LCSW CW023843) and Oregon (OR LCSW L15722). Monica has focused much of her practice on supporting teens and young adults across settings - including outpatient and inpatient care - and currently serves on the Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP) team.
Monica uses a strengths-based, client-centered, humanistic and family systems approach to empower both individuals and the families around them. She applies training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support personal growth for adolescents and young adults while they participate in the program.
She places strong value on the therapeutic alliance and works to understand each person she sees, shaping treatment so the experience is as individualized as possible. Monica considers it an honor to be part of treatment teams and finds inspiration in each client’s journey and progress.
Outside of work, Monica spends her free time with friends, crafting, enjoying family time, and taking long walks with her dog.
