Mieasha Edmonds is a Texas-based counselor with 13 years of experience in the mental health field. She combines clinical training with a background in ministry to support clients through a wide range of life challenges.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Sam Houston State University, where she also served as a local youth pastor. Seeking to serve as a Chaplain for the United Methodist Church, she attended seminary and discovered a deep interest in counseling that redirected her career path. She later completed a Master of Arts in Counseling and a Master of Divinity from Houston Graduate School of Theology.
Across her work, Mieasha has provided care to adolescents, older adults, and adults facing addiction and mental health concerns. She has practiced as a psychotherapist in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has experience supporting people dealing with grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use, psychosis, and everyday life stressors. Her clinical specialties include stress, anxiety, addictions, family conflicts, anger management, depression, LGBT-affirming care, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, grief, eating disorders, sleeping disorders, parenting issues, self-esteem, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching, and ADHD.
A proud member of the LGBT community, Mieasha believes everyone deserves to be loved and understood and is passionate about helping others heal. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered, solution-focused, and strengths-based methods, and she adapts her style to meet each client’s needs on a case-by-case basis. She holds a Texas professional counseling license (license number 67495) and is based in Texas.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes - online therapy has been found to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care. It can be an effective option for addressing these kinds of issues.
One major advantage of online therapy is the flexibility it offers. Clients can connect with therapists in the format that best fits their needs and schedules, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to incorporate therapy into daily life.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if a different fit is desired, clients can switch therapists. For many people, online therapy provides an accessible, practical way to get consistent mental health support.
