Merna Zora prioritizes creating a welcoming, unbiased space where each person can feel safe and respected. She focuses on guiding individuals toward moments of empowerment throughout the therapeutic process.
She assists people coping with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship and family conflicts, addictions, intimacy-related concerns, parenting challenges, self-esteem issues, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, ADHD, compassion fatigue, and other life transitions.
Merna holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social work and is licensed to practice as a social worker in Michigan and as a clinical social worker in Illinois. She brings eight years of clinical experience to her practice.
Her work integrates a range of evidence-informed methods, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative approaches, and solution-focused techniques, tailoring interventions to what best fits each individual.
She speaks Arabic fluently and has experience working with clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Cultural competency, validation, and encouragement are central to her therapeutic style, and she welcomes contact from those interested in beginning therapy.
