Matt Youngberg is an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) licensed in Oklahoma - OK LPC 10048 - and brings eight years of clinical experience to his work. His career background includes roles as an offenders counselor, a community mental health counselor, and more than a decade as an educator.
Drawing on a blend of professional experience and formal training, he practices an eclectic style of therapy, selecting techniques from different approaches to fit each person’s needs. He favors a straightforward, no-nonsense method aimed at identifying core problems and moving toward practical solutions.
Matt is direct and challenging in session, encouraging deeper insight and awareness while maintaining respect, sensitivity, and compassion. He works with people facing a range of concerns, including relationships of all kinds, intimacy-related issues, parenting, anger, self-esteem, self-compassion, anxiety, family support, couples counseling, and domestic violence.
Beginning therapy takes strength, and Matt values the decision to seek help. Outside of clinical work, he enjoys games of all kinds, athletic pursuits, and serving at Life.Church.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or managing life transitions - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical experience indicate that for these issues, remote sessions yield similar outcomes for most people.
One major benefit is greater flexibility. Clients can connect in the format that fits them best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to schedule therapy around work, family, and daily commitments.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they want a different fit. Online therapy offers a practical, accessible way to pursue support and progress without sacrificing professional standards.
