Lucas Streets acknowledges the courage it takes to seek help and affirms that facing challenges does not have to be done alone. He works from the belief that where there is a problem, there is an answer, and he aims to support clients in discovering that answer.
He is a licensed counselor in both Oklahoma and Kansas - licensed to practice in Oklahoma as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC 05030) and in Kansas as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC 2859). With 14 years of clinical experience, Lucas has assisted people dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, depression, LGBT concerns, grief, intimacy-related issues, sleeping disorders, parenting challenges, anger management, self-esteem struggles, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching needs, compassion fatigue, and ADHD.
Lucas brings an energetic, motivating, and encouraging style to therapy while remaining willing to be direct when necessary. He primarily uses cognitive-behavioral approaches alongside humanistic and solution-focused methods, and he adapts conversations and treatment plans to match each person’s unique needs.
He believes no one should carry their difficulties alone and that hope is possible when people are open to exploring different options. Lucas is also a member of a seven-member Clinical Advisory Board that collaborates with product development and clinical teams at BetterHelp on member and provider experience, strategic development, and platform performance. He looks forward to working with clients who are ready to take steps toward change.
Many people ask whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or navigating life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility - individuals can connect in the format that best fits their lives, whether that is video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to incorporate therapy into busy schedules and changing routines.
All therapists working online are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they would prefer a different fit. For many people, online therapy offers an accessible and practical way to pursue meaningful progress on mental health concerns.
