I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner Pieceful Therapy Counseling Services. My empathetic approach creates an atmosphere for clients to feel the freedom to share their deepest thoughts, challenges, and insecurities without judgement. I also practice solution focused therapy brief therapy to help clients build upon their strengths in order to work towards their desired outcome. My clients can expect an atmosphere that fosters a sense of openness in the initial visit to discuss their goals for seeking counseling, a synopsis of the counseling process and what to expect, and opportunity to build upon the therapeutic relationship. I believe that no two individuals are the same, and my techniques and strategies are tailor made for each client. Everyone has a unique puzzle and different pieces that makes up who they are.
I have specialized training in perinatal mental health that focuses on women and even fathers struggling with postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, and PTSD. My mission is to educate, strengthen, and empower moms so that they may flourish and grow with the confidence that they can approach daily challenges of parenting without self-doubt.
Throughout my journey of PPD, a strong foundation in my relationship with God and talking to someone produced the most change. My journey has helped me put the pieces back together and truly understand what it’s like to be on the other side of the couch!! My experience has motivated me to turn my new found passion into a full-time career. Often times, I encourage the family to be supportive of the counseling process in order to help restructure family patterns and dynamics to improve the connection within the family unit.
