About

Kerrie Waterhouse is a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), offering person-centred counselling therapy. She works with a wide range of concerns including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, addiction, childhood issues, stress, loss, relationship difficulties and life changes.

Kerrie has experience supporting children, young adults and senior clients, and she approaches therapy with respect, sensitivity and compassion. Her aim is to help clients develop ways of being that feel authentic and to explore alternative strategies for managing the difficulties that block their goals. Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and Kerrie is available to support people through that process.

She offers weekly 45-minute sessions on this platform between 9am and 3pm, Tuesday to Thursday. Messaging is also available between sessions.

Is Online Therapy the Right Step Toward Better Mental Health?

Many people ask whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most people.

One major benefit is flexibility - individuals can choose the format that fits their life, whether that is video calls, phone appointments, live chat or in-app messaging. This adaptability makes it easier to schedule and maintain regular sessions around work, family and other commitments.

Therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they feel a different approach would be a better fit. Overall, online therapy can be a practical and effective way to access professional support for everyday mental health concerns.
