Kandie Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California (CA LCSW 118380) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She brings five years of clinical experience to her practice.
She follows a systemic approach to therapy and emphasizes the importance of understanding the systems and relationships that shape a person’s life when exploring challenges. Kandie believes the therapeutic relationship should be authentic, collaborative, and feel safe and supportive.
Her work focuses on clients’ strengths and resiliency while helping people develop practical tools to cope with life’s stresses. She draws from a range of modalities, including humanistic methods, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), existential approaches, EMDR, narrative therapy, solution-focused techniques, and mindfulness, tailoring interventions to each client’s needs.
Kandie has experience assisting clients with stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, anger management, trauma and abuse, low motivation, low self-esteem, and lack of confidence. She works with clients across California to create an open environment where thoughts and feelings can be expressed without judgment.
Recognizing that reaching out for change takes courage, Kandie aims to support and empower clients as they take steps toward a more fulfilling and happier life. Outside of work she enjoys gardening, quilting, researching, reading, walking, hiking, travel, and spending time with her dog and family.
Many people ask whether online therapy can produce real benefits. For common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or navigating life changes - online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major advantage is flexibility. Clients can connect in the way that fits their routine and comfort level - by video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which can make it easier to maintain continuity of care.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and clients have the option to switch therapists if they want a different fit. For many people facing everyday mental health struggles, online therapy offers an accessible, adaptable route to consistent support.
