Justine Jayasekara is a PACFA Certified Clinical Counsellor who offers a warm, gentle and down-to-earth style of support for adults and teenagers facing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, questions of identity and life transitions. She creates a safe space where people can feel heard and supported while they work toward clarity and healing.
Her approach is collaborative and client-centred, drawing on evidence-based methods including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness and person-centred counselling. Sessions are tailored to each person’s needs, with no pressure to have everything figured out, and are guided by compassion, curiosity and respect.
Justine holds a Bachelor of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Professions (ACAP) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Positive Psychology. As a PACFA certified clinical counsellor, she is committed to helping people reconnect with their strengths and move forward with greater resilience and confidence.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can genuinely make a difference. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges and navigating life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One of the major benefits is flexibility - people can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone session, live chat or in-app messaging. This variety of options makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy life.
Therapists offering online sessions are licensed professionals, and clients can change therapists at any time if they would like a different fit. For many, online therapy provides an accessible, practical route to consistent support and progress.
