Joselyn Spence is a licensed counselor who brings a holistic, person-centered approach to therapy. With a Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Professional Counseling and a Master of Divinity, she combines clinical training with spiritual sensitivity to support whole-person healing.
She is licensed to practice counseling in Georgia and is also licensed as a mental health counselor in Indiana. As a registered art therapist and an ordained minister, Joselyn offers clients the option to incorporate creativity and spirituality into their therapeutic work when desired.
Her approach is trauma-informed and eclectic, often drawing from Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while emphasizing clients' existing strengths. As a strengths-based clinician she encourages people to build on innate abilities to address presenting concerns.
Joselyn is a registered yoga and meditation teacher (RYT-500) who weaves mindfulness and somatic practices into sessions for clients who find those methods helpful. She has provided care across a range of settings for people of diverse backgrounds and ages from 3 to 80, practicing with cultural humility and attention to each person’s context.
With 12 years of clinical experience, Joselyn is particularly prepared to support individuals coping with depression, anxiety, grief, and life adjustments. She aims to be a comforting listener and collaborative partner as clients work toward the changes they want to make.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional in-person care. Research and clinical practice show that virtual sessions address these everyday mental health needs successfully for a large number of people.
One of the primary benefits is flexibility. Individuals can choose the communication method that suits them best - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - which makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule or to access help from a convenient location.
All therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the option to change therapists if they seek a different fit. Online therapy can broaden access to skilled clinicians while preserving many of the therapeutic elements that make face-to-face work effective.
