Janeen Savini is a compassionate mental health professional based in Connecticut who holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut (license CT LPC 4239), is nationally certified as a counselor, and also works as a life and health and wellness coach. With seven years of experience, she has supported adults and adolescents through trauma, crisis, major life changes, and relationship difficulties.
Janeen creates a safe and trusting space where clients can explore difficult emotions and the challenges they face. She believes each client has strengths to build on and deserves a meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling life, and she sees her role as a collaborative partner in that process.
Her approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, solution-focused, and grounded in cognitive behavioral methods. She listens closely and is curious about each person’s story, acting as a facilitator who helps clients clarify who they are, identify what they want, and develop practical skills to manage and overcome obstacles. Janeen uses a range of interventions tailored to each individual.
She helps clients uncover unhelpful thoughts and limiting beliefs through cognitive behavioral techniques and teaches coping skills informed by dialectical behavior therapy. She applies a trauma-informed stance and is trained in EMDR by the EMDR Institute. Narrative therapy and solution-focused strategies are also part of her toolkit to help clients rewrite their stories, set goals, regain a sense of control, and move forward.
Janeen looks forward to working with individuals who are ready to pursue change and build greater hope and resilience in their lives.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be as effective as traditional in-person sessions for most situations.
A major benefit is flexibility - clients can connect in the way that best fits their life, choosing video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This range of options makes it easier to keep therapy consistent and accessible despite busy schedules or logistical challenges.
Each therapist involved is a licensed professional, and clients have the option to switch providers if they seek a different fit. Online therapy can be a practical, effective avenue for addressing everyday mental health concerns while offering convenience and multiple modes of communication.
