Holly Ellison works with people who feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or otherwise unsatisfied with their lives, and acknowledges that seeking a therapist is an important first step toward change.
She is licensed as a mental health counselor in Florida (FL LMHC MH14897) and is also a nationally credentialed, Board Certified Art Therapist. Holly uses modern, evidence-based approaches to help clients generate practical solutions and improve everyday functioning.
With over 11 years of experience, Holly has provided individual and group counseling to children and adults in both community-based and hospital settings. Her community work has included in-school and in-home services, and her hospital experience spans inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care.
Holly integrates mindfulness, yoga, and expressive art therapies for clients interested in a mind-body approach, while also respecting those who prefer more traditional therapeutic methods. She takes a holistic, positive, and solution-focused stance in her work.
She has experience helping people reduce symptoms and build coping skills related to anxiety, communication difficulties, depression, impulse control, problem solving, self-esteem, substance use concerns, and trauma.
Holly looks forward to supporting individuals as they pursue greater wellness and resilience.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or adjusting to life changes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility - people can connect in the way that feels most comfortable, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility often makes it easier to fit therapy into a busy schedule.
Licensed professionals provide online therapy, and if someone decides they would prefer a different therapeutic fit, it is possible to switch therapists. For many, online therapy offers accessible, effective support for everyday mental health concerns.
