Helen Davis

Helen Davis has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1979 and is licensed as a clinical social worker in Colorado; her license number is CSW.00992092. She grew up in and around New York City and earned her Master of Social Work degree from New York University. Her interest in psychotherapy grew from her own experience as a client, which informs a compassionate, client-centered approach.

Over four decades of work, Helen has integrated a range of modalities into her practice, including Usu/Holy Fire Reiki III, somatic experiencing, visualization, compassion-based therapy, inner child work, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and, for those who are interested, A Course in Miracles. She has also served for many years as a Hospice Social Worker and currently provides bereavement services.

Regardless of the techniques used, Helen emphasizes creating a safe presence and treating the therapeutic relationship as a sacred collaboration. She recognizes the courage required to heal a hurting heart, body, mind, and soul, and she values the profound changes that can arise from compassionately undoing conditioning and defenses that no longer serve. In turbulent and challenging times, her aim is to help as many people as possible feel more empowered, find greater inner peace, grow from difficulties, and experience fulfillment while expressing their uniqueness.
