Dr. Erica Sanders is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds a doctorate from Barry University and both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Arlington. She is licensed to practice social work in both Arizona and Texas and brings 15 years of varied clinical experience in Texas working with children, adults, couples, and families across multiple settings.
Throughout her career she has provided both long-term and brief interventions, tailoring approaches to the needs of individuals, couples, and families. Her work focuses on helping people gain insight into troubling patterns, connect the dots between life events and meaning, and draw on their own strengths to move beyond merely surviving toward a more fulfilling life.
Dr. Sanders’ areas of focus include stress and anxiety, relationship challenges and intimacy-related issues, family conflict, self-esteem and depression, trauma and abuse, grief, parenting concerns, anger management, career difficulties, coping with life changes, coaching, and compassion fatigue. She uses a variety of therapeutic tools and adapts treatment to the presenting needs and goals of each client.
Outside of her clinical work she enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and participating in community service projects. Helping people is her passion, and she finds deep meaning in supporting others as they work toward healing and growth.
Many people wonder whether remote counseling can truly help. For a range of common concerns—including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and transitions through life changes—research finds that online therapy can be comparable to traditional in-person treatment for many individuals.
One of the clearest advantages of remote therapy is flexibility. Clients can connect with licensed professionals in whatever format works best for them: video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety of options often makes it easier to fit regular care into a busy schedule.
All therapists offering online services are licensed professionals, and clients have the ability to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. For many people, the accessibility and convenience of online sessions remove barriers to getting consistent support and taking the next step in their mental health journey.
