Ebony Shoemo is a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Georgia who supports people as they work toward healing and change. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University and brings five years of clinical experience, including roles in community mental health and as a mental health therapist in the public school system.
She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds and centers her work in a person-centered approach that treats the whole self. Her counseling integrates evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, solution-focused brief therapy, social skills training, relaxation techniques, and acceptance and commitment therapy to help clients access the pieces they need for change.
Ebony supports individuals facing trauma and abuse, parenting concerns, anger management, coping with life changes, ADHD, stress and anxiety, relationship and family conflicts, self-esteem and depression, and compassion fatigue. She also has experience with PTSD, mood disorders, and crisis interventions.
She is licensed to practice clinical mental health counseling in Georgia, a credential that authorizes her to provide professional counseling services (GA LPC LPC013692), and she is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors. A wife, mother, and veteran, Ebony enjoys serving those who have served and spends free time hiking, exercising, and relaxing with her family and a good movie under a cozy blanket and heater. She is excited to begin the journey and looks forward to the dig.
