Dr. Dianne Fabii welcomes visitors and recognizes the courage it takes to seek support for personal challenges. With a goal of helping people emerge stronger, healthier, and more self-assured, she offers collaborative guidance aimed at improving emotional and mental wellbeing.
She is a licensed professional counselor in New Jersey (NJ LPC 37PC00181400) and brings more than 20 years of experience working with both adults and children. While she currently lives in Florida and serves as a school counselor there, she maintains availability a few evenings per week and on weekends to work with Better Health clients, and she has daytime openings during summer and school holidays.
Over two decades of practice have given Dr. Fabii experience with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief and extended bereavement, trauma, career development, parenting challenges, issues faced by children of divorce, executive functioning skills, and self-esteem. She has also assisted hundreds of clients with job search strategies and finding more fulfilling employment.
A distinctive element of her background is extensive time spent in southern India and academic study of arranged marriage practices among Indian-American families; her doctoral dissertation explored how young adults are influencing changes in that tradition. Because of this experience, she is comfortable working with clients from that cultural background and attentive to cultural considerations in family and marital relationships.
Dr. Fabii draws from a variety of therapeutic theories and holistic approaches to support clients' wellness goals. She emphasizes the importance of a trusting therapeutic relationship built on honesty, respect, empathy, compassion, clear communication, and a shared commitment to increasing self-awareness, practicing self-care, and fostering personal growth.
She looks forward to helping individuals identify resources and strategies that lead to a more meaningful, joyful, and satisfying life.
Many people wonder whether remote therapy can truly help. For common concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, online therapy has been found to be as effective as traditional in-person care for most individuals.
One major benefit is convenience - clients can connect in the way that suits them best, whether by video call, phone, live chat, or in-app messaging. This flexibility makes it easier to incorporate counseling into a busy schedule.
Sessions are provided by licensed professionals, and if a different therapeutic fit is desired, clients can switch therapists at any time.
