Debra Basham spent more than twenty years forging a successful career in business, earning recognition such as inclusion in Insider Business Magazine’s Inaugural Women of Influence in 2015 and industry awards including a European Call Centre Award. Her work took her around the world, with professional experience in places such as America, India and Australia, and she built a reputation as an excellent mentor and coach.
Following several life-changing events, Debra made a deliberate career change and left the corporate ladder to study at university for three years. She qualified as a coach and counsellor, specialising in career and life coaching and in person-centred counselling.
While completing her studies she also served as a mental health champion within a corporate setting, providing support and a listening ear to senior managers and directors, and she volunteered as a Cruise grief volunteer.
Debra is a member of the Association of Coaching, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, and the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). She has 5 years of experience providing therapy and is based in the United Kingdom.
For many common concerns - such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties or navigating life changes - online therapy can be as effective as traditional face-to-face sessions. Research and practice indicate that remote counselling and coaching work well for these issues.
One of the main benefits is flexibility. Clients can choose the format that fits their needs and routine, including video calls, phone sessions, live chat or in-app messaging. That range of options makes it easier to schedule and attend sessions without rearranging other commitments.
All sessions are provided by licensed professionals and clients have the option to change therapist if they feel a different fit would be more helpful. Online therapy offers a practical way to access qualified therapists while maintaining the choice and convenience that many people need.
