Daryl Flink

Daryl Flink is a licensed clinical social worker based in Virginia who holds clinical social work licenses in both Virginia and Illinois and has earned master’s degrees in Social Service Administration and in Public Policy with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. He has four years of professional experience and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment centers. Early in his career he focused on mental health research and advocacy.

In his clinical work he has supported clients from diverse backgrounds with concerns such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, family and relationship conflicts, career stress, and low self-esteem. He combines that direct practice experience with his academic training to address a wide range of life challenges.

Flink begins therapy from a place of genuine empathy, creating a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere where clients can share what matters to them. His approach is eclectic, drawing primarily from behavioral and cognitive methods along with motivational interviewing, and he collaborates with clients to develop strategies tailored to their needs. By teaching coping skills like social functioning tools, establishing healthy boundaries, and fostering positive self-talk, he aims to help clients build greater resilience and improve quality of life.
