Chelsea Moreau is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor practicing in Maryland who brings nine years of experience working in community settings with children, teens, families, and adults living with severe and persistent mental illness.
She earned her master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Education and holds national counselor certification from the National Board for Certified Counselors. She is also recognized as an approved supervisor by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors.
Throughout her career she has helped people facing a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar and other mood disorders, trauma and abuse, self-esteem struggles, adjustment to life changes, behavioral and emotional disturbances, relationship and family conflict, grief, parenting challenges, anger management, and compassion fatigue.
Chelsea practices from a person-centered stance while drawing on cognitive-behavioral techniques, solution-focused strategies, and motivational interviewing. She emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as a central factor in positive outcomes and cultivates that work through empathy, validation, and unconditional positive regard for each person she sees.
She is committed to reducing stigma around mental health and to public education that moves beyond labels. As she often reminds clients, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Chelsea recognizes that beginning therapy can be difficult and is prepared to support people through each step of that process.
Many people wonder whether online therapy can truly make a difference. For a variety of common concerns - including stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and navigating life changes - online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as traditional in-person sessions.
One major benefit is flexibility. People can connect with a therapist in the format that best fits their needs and schedule, whether through video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging. This variety makes it easier to integrate care into a busy life.
All participating clinicians are licensed professionals, and clients may change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. Online therapy offers an accessible option for many common mental health concerns while preserving the core elements that support progress in treatment.
