Andrea Graziano is a licensed counselor who practices in New York State and the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has 15 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families who face stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, relationship difficulties, family conflicts, grief, anger management issues, and bipolar disorder.
Andrea graduated from Medaille College in 2008 and began a career that has included outpatient and residential counseling as well as case management. Her therapeutic aim is to encourage, support, and empower each person to make choices that align with their goals and desired outcomes.
Her counseling style is client-centered and follows the client’s lead; she uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based techniques as part of her approach. Clients will find that she offers compassionate, warmhearted listening and active encouragement for change.
Andrea’s current availability is Monday through Thursday: Monday 7:15am - 12:00pm; Tuesday 8:00am - 10:00am and 3:15pm - 5:00pm; Wednesday 8:30am - 10:30am and 2:30pm - 4:00pm; and Thursday 9:00am - 10:30am. She does not keep hours on Saturday or Sunday due to other professional and personal obligations.
Because she is licensed in New York and Virginia, Andrea cannot provide services to anyone who is not physically located in one of those states at the time of sessions, in accordance with state regulations. She also does not participate in legal cases, so clients involved in court proceedings, including compensation and disability matters, will need to seek a different clinician.
She looks forward to the possibility of working together and supporting clients through their challenges.
Many people ask whether remote sessions can truly help with everyday mental health concerns. For common issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and managing life transitions, online therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care.
One of the main benefits is convenience. Clients can connect with a therapist in the format that works best for them - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or in-app messaging - making it easier to fit sessions into busy schedules.
Licensed professionals deliver care remotely, and if someone feels a different fit would be better, it is possible to switch therapists. For many people facing typical emotional and interpersonal challenges, online therapy offers an accessible, flexible way to pursue support and personal progress.
