Ana Stevenson creates a therapeutic relationship built on connection and a supportive, confidential space where people can explore their inner and social selves as they move toward healing and emotional growth. Her work emphasizes accompaniment and collaboration, helping each person identify what will best support their journey.
She brings a broad multicultural and multilingual background, shaped by 26 years of life experience living in Asia, Africa, South America, and the United States. Within those years, 16 were devoted to helping people - eight through direct clinical work supporting individuals facing difficult life transitions, trauma, and immigration-related challenges, and ten years serving as an employee relations specialist both overseas and in Washington. In addition, she has nine years of experience providing therapy services.
Ana is a New Mexico licensed clinical social worker, which means she is trained and authorized to provide clinical psychotherapy; her professional registration is C-06038. Her clinical approach is person-centered and guided by each client’s goals and needs. She integrates somatic techniques, EMDR, and cognitive-behavioral methods to support greater integration of body and mind, cultivate balance, and foster more kindness toward the self.
Her diverse professional and life experiences inform a capacity to connect with people from many backgrounds and to tailor care to the unique circumstances each person brings to therapy.
